Fragrance Oil 

All of our fragrance oils are Phthalate Free and meet RIFM guidelines for body care products.

Unless otherwise stated under the fragrance oil name, our high quality, concentrated, fragrance oil is skin safe when used properly diluted. Our fragrance oil will not cause seizing in CP soap and are not drying to the skin.
We use the absolute minimum water for each recipe when making our own soap, which tends to speed up the trace, so fragrance oils that sieze are not welcomed or sold by us. They work well in soaps, lotions, creams, powders, balms, oils and scrubs. They can be used as perfume oils when diluted in a carrier oil. Recommended usage of fragrance oil for candles is between 1/2oz and 1 1/2oz per lb. of wax based on how strong of a scented candle you desire. For bath & body products the rate is 1/2oz to 1oz per lb. When trying a new fragrance oil in cold process soap, mix the fragrance oil with a carrier oil that you are using.

Blending the fragrance oil with a carrier tends to buffer the reaction when it hits the raw soap. Do not use a stick blender yet. Stick blenders help accelerate trace. If a fragrance oil that you use also accelerates trace, you will compound the reaction. Wait until you are familiar with a fragrance oil before you use mechanical mixing. If there appears to be no acceleration, then you may start using short bursts of the stick blender. Keeping your temperatures within an average range, not too high or too low, will help avoid acceleration. I have noticed that every time I an in a rush and do not wait for the temps to come down, the batch will trace almost immediately or even seize.
