3D Soap MoldsOur 3D molds are a two-part mold designed specifically soap making, Melt & Pour or cold process and are manufactured from 0.060" thick, heavy duty clear PET plastic which will cast a double sided, three dimensional bar of soap, just like commercial store bought bars. Each two-part soap mold has an excellent chemical resistance, features a convenient built-in funnel to facilitate filling of the mold, and a precision channel, designed to align the two mold halves together, and eliminate leaking. Two Heavy Duty Rubber Bands are included with each two-part soap mold, which are used to hold the mold tightly together. Our 3D soap molds have been successfully tested in the oven at a temperature of 200°F for 1/2 hour without warping, but it is recommended to pour your soap at a tempature as low as possible, which will increase the mold's working life. Typical unmolding time for Melt & Pour soap is 4 hours and 24 hours or more for cold process soap. To un-mold the 3D soap, gently separate the two halves of the mold, until one half separates from the other. To un-mold the soap from the remaining half of the mold, gently bend the soap mold just a bit, this will break the seal with the soap, which will then release easily. You may even be able to get the soap to release by lifting it out by the extra left in the filling funnel channel, if there is any there. If you need to chill the mold to get the soap to release, place it in the freezer for approx. 15 minutes, or into the refrigerator for approximately 1 hour. Chilling the Melt & Pour glycerin within the molds will greatly aid in the release of the soap, but DO NOT let it freeze. For cold process soap, un-mold the soap using the same methods mentioned above. If the soap sticks to the mold, using a mold release may aid in the release of these types of soap. Rinsing the molds in warm water is all that is usually necessary to clean them after use.
